Fire safety equipment can come in many forms and are tools to help raise the alarm in the event of a fire or to store fire safety products - they can make the difference between life and death when it comes to raising the alarm and keeping everyone safe when there is an emergency.

The most obvious examples of fire safety equipment would be fire alarms and fire exit signs as they indicate once a fire has started and where everyone must evacuate. Lesser known items that are also classed as fire safety equipment however can often be overlooked but, are just as important.

A fire escape ladder is a great example of safety equipment that would be needed if a fire occurred anywhere above ground floor in a building. They can be easily hooked onto a window or opening allowing for anyone to escape from a building when all other inside exits are blocked. Holding a maximum weight of 150kg and dropping as far as 4.5 metres escape ladders are a really important item when considering fire safety.
